Place – A Village Called Turuvila in Anuradhapura
Incident – The mother elephant was seriously injured as it was shot by a trap in the jungle. Despite the effort by Dr. Taraka Prasad Dharmakeerthi and Dr. Chandana Jayasinghe to save the life. The Mother Elephant died of Injuries. The baby Elephant was injured too and later recoverd after receiving treatment by Dr. Chandana Jayasinghe and It was Transferered to Athathuru Sevana
